The international activity is one of the priority spheres of operation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a feature distinguishing it from other Kazakhstani associations. Recently, the weight of the CCI of RK and its prestige at the international area has increased and strengthened. The international activity carried out by the Chamber is strongly sought-for by the Kazakhstan business. At the time when Kazakhstan became independent hardly anybody knew about the country and, vice versa, the Kazakhstan business was little familiar with other states and their legislation. Through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, thanks to its partnership relations with the chambers of commerce of more 70 states it became possible to obtain information on the foreign market, potential partners and peculiarities of business and investment legislation of these countries.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been very actively working within the international organizations of the chambers of commerce of which it is a member. These are the International Chamber of Commerce, Chief Executives Board of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the CIS, Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Organization for Economic Cooperation. These agencies carry on numerous activities promoting strengthening of partnership relations between the businesses of different countries, extension of trading and investment cooperation, rendering of specific consulting services, provision of training programs for entrepreneurs, and many others. The CCI RK assigns high priority to strengthening the ties with different state authorities and, in the first place, with the Ministry of Foreign Relations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Industry and Trade and other ministries. The staff of the Chamber takes an active part in the meetings of intergovernmental commissions based on the results of which they fulfill different missions on strengthening the trade and business ties. In particular, Business Councils have been established with a view to develop the trade and economic cooperation and solve topical issues in the relations of Kazakhstan with foreign countries.

The CCI of RK has been coordinating the work of 18 Business Councils. In the countries, strategic partners of Kazakhstan the Chamber has opened its representative offices. Skilled specialists knowing well the country and its legislation provide practical assistance to the Kazakhstani entrepreneurs in search of reliable partners, serious investors and suppliers of quality products and new technologies. Moreover, they provide help to foreign entrepreneurs in search of Kazakhstani partners and familiarize them with the investment climate and peculiarities of business in Kazakhstan.  .
